About Putik
The Putik Association was founded in 2003 under the initiative of Jon and Tessy Pettyjohn, and a group of professional and amateur potters working to support Clay Art in the Philippines. It has since organized events that have brought potters from the many Philippine islands together. It has made successful efforts to incorporate pottery into some of the country?s leading university art programs. Putik has also helped to support through partial scholarships the study of qualified potters in programs outside the country. Its efforts have also extended to the rehabilitation of the country?s less fortunate youth through the therapeutic benefits of working with clay. It is hoped that through continued support and our best efforts, we in Putik, will continue to work to the further benefit of our art.
